January favorites

I am going to start off with television....

I have so many favourites at the minute! I would literally be here for days So I thought I would share the things I am enjoying most at the minute. First is Gossip Girl, I have just finished my exams and have a couple of weeks off to chill before next semester starts so I thought I would try out a new series to watch. I saw on Netflix that this had good reviews so I thought why not? And oh my god was I glad I did. I have never loved a showed as much as this! I mean It is so addictive, you just want to keep watching and watching, I love it! It is my new guilty pleasure I would recommend this so highly.

Next is my health and beauty favourites....

I have mentioned some of these in other posts, but these are the products I am loving at the minute!
I will start with the Argon Oil shampoo and conditioner. If you read my other posts you will see that I am obsessed with these! I love the way my hair feels after washing, it is really amazing that these are just £1.00 each! I Definitely recommend anyone to try these.

So my next favourite is water, a bit strange I know but I will explain...

I have been having trouble with break outs lately, I think the stress of exams really got to me this time. I wanted to try different things to help clear my skin. Firstly I started drinking more water. I love pepsi max, I used to drink so much of it. I literally couldn't go a day without having some. I knew this was bad for my skin and I should be drinking more water, so I put myself on a pepsi  ban and only drank water. A week later my skin is glowing! It is unreal how much water does for your skin the difference is amazing, I also have a lot more energy and just feel so much better.

To go along with my health talk, I will go to my next favourite which is raspberry ketones. I have been trying to loose a bit of weight and tone up lately. I used these last year and I saw great results so I wanted to try them again. I am not disappointed.. I am eating healthy, and also exercising regularly along with my Raspberry Katone once a day, I am seeing great results! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is wanting to loose some weight.

Next is my Gucci Perfume. I got this as a gift for Christmas. I had never smelt this before but it is gorgeous! I love this so much. I am one of these people that just stick with the same perfume for a while, so when I smelt this I was pleasantly surprised, it is definitely my favourite perfume at the minute.

And finally my beauty products: Nars Sheer Matte foundation, again I have recently blogged about this. It is a great foundation, it makes your skin look great, especially now my skin is in much better condition, it is complementing my skin.

And last is my No7Airbrush primer. I never used to wear primers, but I got this as a gift for Christmas and I am definitely not turning back! It is crazy to think I went this long without using a primer. It really sets your face up for foundation and just makes your face look much better for it. I am really enjoying this product at the minute.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. I would love to know your January favourites...

See you soon, Em x

MAC Matte Velvet Teddy

So I know Han normally does the MAC lipstick posts, but I wanted to share my love for Velvet Teddy.

I don't normally buy MAC lipsticks, but I have been wanting this colour for ages!. I first saw it on a you-tuber when I was watching her video. It looked so good on her and I wanted to see if it would suit me, I went to my nearest MAC store but they didn't have it in stock, it is such a popular shade so I ordered  mine offline.

I absolutely love it! the shade it so nice, it really does look good. I love beige lipsticks, and this is such a great daytime colour, I know I will be wearing this a lot.

I like how natural looking the colour is, I do like the pink and purple shades, but it is nice for a change to wear a colour like this, and it really does make a difference to your face. It is definitely worth the money and the time I have waited to get it.

I would love to know what your favourite MAC lipstick shade is, I think I am officially hooked and will definitely be purchasing some more.

See you soon, Em x

EOS Lip Balms

I am totally addicted to EOS lip balms. I carry them anywhere I go and I'm constantly applying them. Now the are not the cheapest of lip balms near the £5 mark and not the most accessible to get in the UK (I get mine from amazon). But I am such a fan!

I have the following: strawberry (please excuse the powder in the eos on the picture), summer fruit (red), honey suckle (green), blueberry acai (blue) and both the new ones coconut milk (pink striped) and vanilla mint (blue stripped) which I definitely recommend.

I'm such a fan of them all.. they are all great scents/flavours. And i'm so happy I have my favourite scents which are vanilla, coconut, blueberry and honey suckle. And I really want to expand and get both passion fruit and pomegranate.

I love the design of these lip balms and I find they apply easily and smoothly. Without making your lips feel sticky. I find my lips feel instantly good and smooth and I rate these so much! I definitely prefer this then Balmi only due to the fact my Balmi packaging kept coming apart and I ended up with lip balm everywhere... but that might just of been my fault, oops. Although Balmi is a good alternative to EOS.

Let me know about your favourite lip balms or what your favourite EOS product is or what I should try next...

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in Chatterbox

Back again with another MAC lipstick swatch for you guys!
When researching this lipstick I found it so hard to find swatches so hopefully this will help any of you interested in Chatterbox.

Chatterbox is a lovely bright pink! I haven't really got round to wearing this shade much as I think it would look prettier in summer but I do love it and i'm a fan! It's an amplified creme finish which means they give an opaque creamy finish which I find to last about 3 hours. I think i'm going to make it my challenge that I wear this shade more.

Let me know what you think of this shade...

see you soon, han x

Argon oil product haul

I have never tried Argon Oil before but after reading Hans review on the night repair serum, so I thought I would give them a go.

I first bought the night repair serum, along with the Argon Oil hair treatment. Both of which was so cheap, like £1.99 each I was amazed. I wont say much about the night repair serum, because Han has already reviewed it. But I will say that I am very impressed by it, my face is so much more radiant, clear and really smooth.

So I wanted to try more of their products as I was impressed by the face serum, The hair serum is my least favourite out of all the products, It is good, but because I use the Loreal Elvive Extraordinary oil, I find this is more suitable for my hair. However it is still good, and you can see a difference in your hair. If you are on a tight budget I definitely recommend using this It is a good serum which leaves your hair feeling silky smooth.

Then I went to try the shampoo and  conditioner. I was so surprised by how cheap this was! I got them from pound shop so £1.00 each. Because of the cheap price, I wasn't expecting this product to be anything special, but I was so wrong! I love these. I used to use the Aussie Miracle moist shampoo and conditioner before these and I honestly cant tell the difference, in fact I like these more! I recommend anyone to use these. Honestly my hair is so soft, and looks really healthy and just £1.00 each its a amazing!.

I would love to hear what you guys think to the Argon oil products.

See you soon, Em x

MAC Satin Lipstick in Cyber

MAC Cyber Lipstick @ http://emandhanxo.blogspot.co.uk

If you've read my mac collection post and my post on mac blankety you will know I decided to create individual posts on my mac lipsticks.. So today I am bringing you...  mac's cyber lipstick!

Cyber is a vampy purple shade! I think it's great for autumn and I love it!  It is definitely a very daring shade which makes it harder to wear... However I have muted this down just to create a nice purple shade on my lips and it looks gorgeous either way. It's a satin finish which means it's not matte  but has a sheen. This lasts a good while on my lips not so much if i'm drinking all the time and also makes my teeth look whiter.

let me know what you guys think...

1. Pink Bikni - top £12.99, bottoms  £7.99
I am going away soon with my boyfriend for a spa weekend, so I have been looking for some new bikinis, this is soo cute I love the colour! It would also look really good on the beach with a tan because of the bright colours.

2. Burgundy button front skater dress £14.99
I love this dress so much!  I am actually thinking of buying it, it is completely my style. It would look so good at the minute with tights and some boots, and then it will also be a great summer dress.

3.Black trouser leggings £22.99
I love leggings, they go with everything and so comfy. I own so many pairs of leggings but a girl can never have enough! I would definitely buy these, I like the trouser look.

4. Leather cut out buckle strap block heel ankle boots £20
I have been wanting a pair do these for ages, but never got round to actually buying them. These are gorgeous and they are on sale!, I think they would go with multiple outfits and are very practical given the current weather!

Han's Picks:

A kimono is a must for me! I think they can make an outfit and are suitable for both day and night wear. I especially love this one as I love the gold floral detail I think it would look good with either a black dress or some jeans and a black vest top.

Black jeans again another must have! I think with a nice top these would look great with the kimono mentioned above.

I love this watch so much! I love the grey and gold together I think the colours are such a pretty combo! I definitely want this even though I don't wear watches! I would make an exception for this one.

Sunglasses are another must have for me (especially in my car) and I love the style of these. These black and gold framed sunglasses will go win any outfit and will be perfect for summer!

Let us know what you like from our picks or what you would get?

Fitness haul

I've decided that it's time for me to get myself fit and healthy as I'm not happy with my current weight. I've set my goal to drop at least one dress size at least by my birthday which is like 5 months away so hopefully I'll beat this goal before that. Anyhow today I thought I would share with you a few things that I bought.

The first thing I bought to aid me into doing exercise and getting fit was buying Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Blitz. I did this at least 4 times the week I bought it then I got ill and had exams so I kinda neglected this for a week and now i'm back into it and I've done it 3 days out of 3 so far this week. I'm really enjoying this. I find that the rounds go really quick although I'm struggling with round 10 at the moment. This is also good because it comes with a diet plan. I really find it motivating and not too difficult unlike insanity.

After I bought and did the first workout I went onto Facebook to probably tell emily how good I was finding it and spotted an advert for fabletics who had an offer on gym clothes and at the time I couldn't resist making a purchase. I bought the eager set which comes with a top, sports bra and some sport leggings all for £31 however that is if you are VIP member. It finally arrived after just over a week but the apologised for the delay and credited my account with £5 but that didn't bother me as it came with free delivery so I hadn't really lost any money. The quality of the products are so good and fit really well and I'm really happy with all the clothing. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone just be careful not to become a VIP if you don't want to pay extra costs.

Let me know whether you are trying to get fit and healthy? Let me know of anything that you are finding motivational because that's my hardest battle.. keeping motivated.

sunday story - camping at a festival

First time camping at a festival.....

So last year I went to sundown festival with Han and our other friend for uni Laura. We decided to camp, which at the beginning we all thought was a great idea because you get more of an experience.
A week before we was due to go, I stocked up on my food, alcohol, lots an lots of alcohol and a sleeping bag (of course), however surprisingly my bag grew bigger and bigger towards the day to actually go. on the actual day I was surprised by how much I actually packed (I am a girl, I need my make-up and things;)). Anyway we got there and I was by far the person with the most stuff, so the journey from the car to checking in was a lot harder then we expected. You had to take all your alcohol in at the first journey from the car so here we are three girls carrying heaps of bags of alcohol! It was not pleasant.. it was actually horrible it took us like 15 minutes to get to the check in place then after a long que. We got to the security guards where we found out that most of our alcohol was not allowed in because they was in glass bottles! So we had the majority of our drinks taken off us, our backs killing and we still had the gruelling walk to the camp-site to actually set up our tent.

When we got to the camp site, we realised we were slightly late... all of the spaces seemed to be taken, so we left han with the bags. Then me and Laura went to look for a place to set up. We finally found a place but it was right beside the walk way which isn't an ideal place, but hey we are at a festival who cares lets just have fun right?.....

Soap & Glory Glamour Push Palette

So for christmas I was lucky enough to get this soap and glory makeup palette which comes with three eyeshadows, a lip lacquer, an eyeliner, a mascara and a luminising face powder.

1. Thick & Fast (Mascara)
Based on first impressions I am not a fan! I'm wearing it in the pictures above... I just don't like it, the wand feels too stiff and my lashes didn't really gain anything from this mascara. other than being darker and little lift. At the moment I wouldn't recommend this mascara...

2. Super Cat (Eyeliner)
This felt black eyeliner is a thumbs up from me! I love a felt tip eyeliner. I find them so much easier to use. I'll be honest my eyeliner in the pictures on the bottom right looks terrible but I was just being lazy and not taking my time to do it... so I've not done the eyeliner any favours.

3. Lid Stuff (Eyeshadows)
All the colours were a delight to use.. super good colour pay off and have great staying power.
1.Taupe Cat is a lovely orangey copper colour as in the pictures above. I think this would look lovely as a daytime look. I also like to apply this under the eye for that extra pop.
2. Aubersheen is a gorgeous browny/taupe colour. Definitely my favourite one of the thee. Would be perfect for both night time and day looks.
3. Smokin is a black shade. I've worn this on the left pictures just around the corner of my eyes. Would be great to use to create a smokey eye.

4. Sexy Mother Pucker (Lip Laquer).
The name is amazing and this one is in the shade Charm Offensive. I'm not a fan of this shade on me but I do like the pigmentation of the lip lacquer. The shade I would say is a deep nude pink. It is a tiniest bit sticky I find but bare able. I've not read the best reviews on these but I do like them just unsure of the shade on me.

5. Glow all out (Luminising Face Powder)
I don't know how I feel about this yet! Its a soft pink/champagne colour powder which I intend to use as gentle highlighter... I'll update this post when I have more of an opinion on this product. At the minutes it just meh it's okay.

Overall, I'm happy with this palette. Its not as great as the urban decays naked on the run but it's a great cheaper option and you definitely get your moneys worth! I don't know if you can still find this but it was £20 from boots.
Let me know what you guys think of this..

see you soon, han x

Nars Sheer Matte Foundation Review

Hey guys! so today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Nars Sheer Matte Foundation. I always wanted to try this because so many people have said it was really good.

Pros

  • It goes on really smoothly and you cant  feel it on like some foundations feel really heavy on your face, but with this one you honestly don't feel like you have it on.
  • It gives good coverage. I wouldn't say it was the best coverage, it does hide pores or any imperfections but if you have an aggressive spot then I advise placing concealer on the top of it because although it covers a bit, it doesn't cover it fully.
  • It does transform your face, I think it looks really nice and gives you a pretty radiance look. There are two shades, Sheer matte or sheer glow. I haven't tried the glow but I think the matte does give a radiance look.
  • The colour is a perfect match for my skin. I went online before purchasing and compared my colour in previous foundation and it calculated that I would be this colour, and it is a perfect match. I will leave a link at the bottom for the foundation matcher it is a great way of getting your perfect colour.

Cons

  • It doesn't come with a pump, which I really don't like! I always feel like I am wasting it because sometimes too much comes out and I don't want to cake my face init so I have to wash it away!. I have started getting old lids of  a hairspray and putting the foundation in there so if i do get to much I don't waste it.
  • It is quite pricey, at £31.00 but it does last a long time.
As you can see I don't really have a bad word to say about this product.  I do really like this foundation. I love the way looks on and the light feel of it. I definitely prefer it to the foundation I was using previously which was the Hello Flawless foundation from Benefit. I will be using this for a while until something else comes round the corner. I enjoy trying new beauty products, its always nice for a change.

If you have any foundations you think are good please let me know I would love to try them out!

See you soon, Em x

Argon Oil: Night Repair Serum

Recently..well not so recently now I bought this little gem from B&M at the price of just £1.99.. bargain or what! I thought it was about time to improve my night time routine and thought why not give this a go its not hurting the bank.

This is an argan oil night repair serum which has moroccan argan oil extract which helps repair and rejuvenate leaving skin smooth & healthy.
I use two-three droplets of this on my face and night after I've cleansed my face.. The product is a nice consistency and a clear substance. I have personally found that when I do use this that the morning after my skin feels super smooth. So definitely agree with helping it do that.

The packaging of this is amazing! I love it for £2 you get 50ml of product, a great application using a pipette and stored in a nice glass bottle! I don't think you can go wrong! Plus I think this will definitely last awhile!

Let me know what you guys think to this..

Han's picks:

This reminds me of the one of the ones you can get from Ted Baker which I'm madly in love with. I would definitely consider picking this up if I won the voucher. I love the black with the gold tone metal and the clip fastening I think its super cute and would be a perfect bag to take when shopping!

As you can tell I would definitely consider buying some shoes! I really want to own a pair of heels that look like this. I think they are super sophisticated and at the minute I kinda have a thing for grey shoes.

These heels are so pretty! I'm in love plus they are white leather which I'm obsessed with just recently got some white leather pumas but the only problem is these would be terrible to keep clean.

These are gorgeous! I would definitely love to own these... I think they would look super cute paired with a pair of jeans and a nice simple white or grey top on a nice day trip out some where..

Emily's picks

1. Black Wide Strap Bodycon dress - £35

This dress is gorgeous! I like the wide straps, and I am loving midi dresses at the minute as well, this definitely would be my first purchase!

2. Blacked, ripped knee skinny jeans -£35

I really like these jeans, they look so good and I think they really compliment jumpers, especially a black fur one I think would look great with these!

3.Black printed winged tote bag -£45
The River Island bags are always so gorgeous, but I have immediately fell in love with this one, It ill literally match any outfit, and it is so stylish I love it!

4.Cream woven mini skirt - £30

This is so cute! I love it, I think it would look great with a pair of black tights, boots and a jumper or  a long sleeved black top.

MAC Smoked Purple Lipstick

MAC Smoked Purple Lipstick Swatch

I'm sure you've seen all the my posts from last week explaining about how i'm doing individual posts on my mac lipsticks.. So I'll get straight into

Mac Smoked Purple is a deep purple/vampy colour.. mac describe it as eggplant purple.. I would agree. It's a matte shade so lasts a good length of time on the lips and is the most drying out of all the finishes but I don't really find drying an issue when I wear this! I am such a fan of this colour especially in autumn and I also find it makes my teeth look whiter, which I don't mind at all...

Hope the swatches help you and let me know what you think of this shade...

see you soon, han x

Urban Decay Naked - ON THE RUN

So for christmas I was lucky enough to receive naked on the run! you've probably seen this about already in the blogging sphere. I was so excited about getting this as I'm a massive fan of urban decay products.. ok by products I mean there eyeshadows.
Anyway... I'll get onto what I want to talk about hehe

First things First! This compact? contains an eyeliner, travel sized mascara, a full sized lipgloss, 6 eyeshadows with one being larger at the bottom and both a bronzer and a blusher. So this is a great compact to take travelling as it pretty much has all your makeup essentials in however.... it's not the lightest but I don't mind that.

The eyeshadows:
all five smaller eyeshadows can be seen on top row of the left picture and i'll mention them from left to right.
Dive - Is a frosted sparkly copper/rose colour which has great pigmentation. I'm wearing it on the right eye in the picture below all by it's self.
Fix - Is a medium brown matte shade! great pigmentation again and also could be good for filling in eyebrows?.. possibly.
Resist - Golden brown/taupe colour with a slight sheen and again great pigmentation! Im wearing it on my left eye in the picture below
Dare- muted brown in a matte finish could be could for those who have dark eyebrows to fill in other than just an eyeshadow. I wore this shade on the corner of my eye in the picture below (eye on the left).
Stun - is my favourite its got a such a good colour pay off. Its a chocolate brown with glitter.. its honestly gorgeous in my opinion.
5050 (3rd on the bottom in swatches picture) is a beige possible peach tone shade. Its good to use as a highlighter under the brow or in the corner of your eyes.
I found that all of the eyeshadows latest a great length of time on my lid without a primer.. pretty much all day! apart from 5050.

The bronzer & blusher:
the first two on the bottom row of the swatch picture & I have both on in the picture below
Bronzer- This is quite an orangey/brown bronzer on me so if I am wearing this I have to spend some time blending it! but that doesn't really bother me as I can work with it.
Blusher- Is a bright medium pink and on my skin again I have to really blend it to reduce its dramatic colour pay off.

The mascara:
wearing in below picture.
Oh my god.. I fell in love with the perversion mascara the first day I tried it! It separates all my lashes  and makes them super long! It's a great black.. I just can't fault it at the minute! Definitely would buy the full size.

The eyeliner:
swatched in picture above and wearing it on the top of my lash line on the left eye.
The 24/7 glide on pencil in stag is definitely my favourite eye pencil that I own... not that I own many (not the greatest fan). This is a jet black and is super nice to work with.. definitely would consider trying out more of these in the future.

Lipgloss:
This is the least loved product out of all of them for me. I'm not a major lipgloss fan but I do rate this 10/10 for packaging love it. I think I don't like this due to the slight smell it has and the shade isn't a usual one I would go for! It's called Sesso and it's pretty much the same shade as my natural lip colour pinky/plum wearing it below. It gives a good shine to the lips and it isn't sticky.. well I don't find it is so that wins point from me on that basis.

Let me know what you think to all the products mentioned on this post and also I would love see see what you think about my swatches of the eyeshadows actually on my lids.. so I know for future reference...

see you soon, han x

Mac Frost Lipstick in Fabby

If you've read my mac collection post and my post on mac blankety you will know i've decided to do individual posts on my mac lipsticks (due to providing more swatches and a less lengthy post). So here's my first ever mac lipstick fabby!

As you can tell from the picture I use tabby quite a lot.. it is one of my personal favourites. Colour wise it is a muted pink/mauve colour which has a gold frost/shimmer effect to it which it think is gorgeous. I think it really suits my skin tone and I love it! It's a frost lipstick so it has a lot of shimmer however saying that I don't find this too shimmery on my lips in fact I love the effect it gives. The downfall is that because it's a frost it doesn't last that long on the lips so it needs reapplying but has very good coverage.

what do you guys think to fabby?

see you soon, han x

What i'm currently doing to keep fit & healthy

What I do to keep healthy

Hey guys,so today I wanted to share my diet tips with you because the most common new years
resolution is to loose weight, start the gym and eat more healthy.  However it is so hard to stick with it.. so I wanted to share with you my diet tips, and how I try and keep fit and healthy.

I am not a big exercise person! I have bought all of the celebs DVDs. Joined the gym but I have never stuck with them. Then my boyfriend introduced me to Insanity. Its by an american who does a high intensive work out sessions. Straight away I was hesitant. I do not like exercise as it is.. so why would I want to do an extreme workout? but I thought I would give it a go! So we started early on the 27th of  December because I was feeling huge over the Christmas period (I started eating loads a bit too  early!)

I am amazed that I am still doing it. I don't know if its because I am more determined this time, or its the power of the  DVD but I do like the way it pushes you. It also encourages you to take breaks when you need it. You do not have to do the full intensity, you can work yourself up which I like because you can go at your own pace however if you do want to push yourself then its a great motivational DVD. I am not going to lie to you.. it is extremely hard work! You come off sweating and literally your muscles ache like hell afterwards but then you know its working right!  ;)

After I have done Insanity.. I like to have a Protein World Shake or sometimes I have it before a workout. Protein World, is a health supplements company which sells: protein, tablets all things to aid in weight loss really. The slender blend protein powder is the one I have in the flavour Vanilla. It is so yummy! I really enjoy them, and you can mix all sorts with them, I have made a peanut butter shake, and also a strawberry and banana shake but they have lots of recipes on the website. They give you a free Shake, and also a diet plan when you buy the protein, there diet plan is basically have a shake in the morning, a healthy lunch then a shake before bed. I did the diet before but now I am just drinking them after workouts as they are really good too have before or after workouts.

I am not officially on a diet I am just eating more healthy. I don't like to say I am officially on a diet because then as soon as I say that chocolate cravings are all I can think about! So I kind of trick myself into it. For breakfast I would either have a, slim fast or protein world shake ( they are so yummy) then for lunch Salad or Jacket potato something filling because I get hungry in-between lunch and Dinner! Then I would have some fruit and for dinner, chicken and veg, stir fry, quinoa is really nice I have only just started eating it and I am addicted. I am literally having it with everything.
I would also recommend Weight Watchers. I  have used weight watchers a lot of times.. I did loose a lot of weight with them. Its a really easy diet plan and you always feel full, you can still even eat chocolate (the main reason why I joined!) and you don't feel like your on a diet.

And finally walking! Since getting a dog I have walk everyday. I am really enjoying it. I did like walking before I got him but now it is a lot more enjoyable and you are also exercising whilst doing it. Having a dog is great motivation for dooing the slightest

I hope you founds these tips useful, I would love to hear any of yours tips?

MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick

MAC Kinda Sexy Review/Swatch
MAC Kinda Sexy Swatch
If you've read my MAC collection post and my post on MAC Blankety lipstick you will know i've decided to do individual posts on my mac lipsticks (due to providing more swatches and a less lengthy post). So here's my post on MAC's Kinda Sexy lipstick!

Kinda Sexy is a peachy/coral toned nude in a matte finish (although it doesn't really look matte in the picture). With it being a matte finish it means that it lasts a lengthy time on the lips.. I've found it to last about 5 hours at least. It is also the most drying finish however I didn't really find kinda sexy that drying... it looks more like a satin finish in the picture I would say. I find kinda sexy is quite bold nude on my lips so I wouldn't wear it everyday but it's definitely a day time colour. Overall i'm happy with the shade but it's not my most loved.

Tell me what you guys think in the comments!

see you soon, han x

Urban Decay Naked Palette & 2

I loveeee my naked palette. I have been wanting one for ages and was lucky enough to receive this one for Christmas. The first pallete contains, Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal. The shades are great for a smoky eye look, and are suitable for both daytime and a night time. My favourite shades our sin and smog, they have a warm shimmer which I am loving at the minute. For a night out I combine sin & smog and then darkhorse in the crease for a more defined look sometimes I would add toasted as well if I want more warmer tone. I definitely recommend this palette.. it's one which will last a while and is suitable for all occasions.

I am obsessed with the Naked Palettes (I own both the original & the second but would  definitely love to add the third to my collection). The second palette contains four matte shades in foxy, bootycall, tease and blackout & eight shimmer shades in half baked, chopper, snakebite, suspect, pistol verve, ydk and busted! All the shades are equally gorgeous, but my personally favourites are half baked, ydk, chopper and verve. This palette is great for creating both night time looks and an everyday wear. Definitely a palette I would recommend...

Let me know what you think of the shades

MAC Myth Lipstick

MAC Myth Lipstick Review and Swatches
MAC Myth Lipstick Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! Surprise Surprise I have another MAC lipstick post and this time it's MAC Myth Lipstick

Myth is a light nude colour (I would say with a hint of peach). I do like it however I'm not in love with it! It's a nice colour to have in my collection. It's perfect for everyday wear and lasts for about 4 hour isn I find. It's a satin finish which means that it's not matte but has a sheen to it. It has good coverage/colour pay off.  I don't find it that drying on my lips, but when my lips are drier I do tend to pair this with a lip balm.

let me know what you guys think...

WAMO Wednesday: Win Nic's Collection (Real Techniques)

Welcome to our first WAMO wednesday!
We have been given the opportunity to work with the WAMO app.
We are both users of the wamo app and have it downloaded on our phones.. (user name em_hanxo) and we thought we would share with you guys one of our favourite apps by creating WAMO Wednesday. WAMO Wednesday is going to be a weekly post where we share with you guys our favourite WAMO challenge of the week.

What is WAMO?
WAMO is an app that you can download onto your phone that provides you a chance with winning one of their challenges. Which hannah was lucky enough to win one as mentioned in the mac haul post here.

How to stand a chance in winning?
1. Download the app onto your phone
2. Create your profile (make sure to put something in your profile)
3. Click on challenges and then click the one you are interested in and create a list
4. Create a list by either adding pictures from your gallery or camera of the products that relate to the challenge e.g. if you enter the Boohoo challenge put a picture some of their clothing up.
5. Fill in the info about the product you've put up and either love, hate, want or need it.
6. Add it to the relevant challenge list and you are done!
All the above may sound really confusing so be sure to check out the picture step below at the bottom

So we decided that these real technique brushes are what we would want to win most...
Let us know whether you've downloaded the app or what you think is the best challenge they are running this week..

see you soon, em & han x

*by doing these posts we are not receiving/winning any of their challenges or any free products! We are simply sharing with you a great way you can potentially win some amazing prizes.. all by simply making a list!

MAC Blankety Lipstick

MAC Blankety Lipstick Swatch and Review

If you have read my mac collection post I mentioned I would do swatches for my mac lipsticks.. However instead I have decided to create individual posts on them as they all deserve their own feature... in my opinion. Plus you get two individual kinda like swatches on one post rather than just one on my hand if I was to do only one post.

Today I have for you is... blankety! It is a lovely pinky beige nude colour! Perfect for everyday wear.  It is an amplified creme finish which is one of my favourite finishes. It basically means it's pigmented (good colour coverage... so no need to be putting on loads before any colour pay off) and creamy (so glides on the lips nicely). It gives a slight glossy look to you lips and lasts a few hours. Definitely would need a touch up if you are going to be using your mouth a lot aka eating etc. Lastly it doesn't leave you lips feeling dry. I am really loving this shade and would 1000% recommend swatching this or possibly even buying it next time you are near a MAC store.

Let me know your thoughts on MAC lipsticks... what your favourite? what do you want to own?

see you soon, han x

My Estee Lauder Collection

So for Christmas I got a massive case of Estee Lauder make-up. I have always liked Estee Lauder, but never really got round to trying it. As I had only had the foundation and a lipstick before this, so I was extremely happy to receive this for Christmas.

1. Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara - this mascara is amazing! It really does transform your eyelashes, and you don't need much for it to be noticeable. I would definitely recommend this for people that like dramatic eyelashes. It also goes really well with the eye-liner too but i'll get onto that in a minute.

2. Estee Lauder Pure Colour Intense Kajal Eyeliner - When I first saw this I wasn't too excited because I like really dark black eye-liner and I always found that pencil never really gave me that affect... That was until I used this! I immediately fell in love with this eye-liner, it is so dark, it lasts all day and really gives the dramatic eye look which I loveeee.

3. Estee Lauder eye make-up remover - Again I have never really used an eye make-up remover I just used to use make-up wipes. But this is so good. You don't need much and your eye-make-up just comes straight off. I am really enjoying using this. It also makes your eyes feel really clean and cleansed after using it.

4. Estee Lauder Pure Gloss: 27 Pink Kiss Shimmer, 06 Magnificent Mauve Shimmer and 16 Mod Poppy Shimmer - These lip glosses are so cute! I am really loving these, I normally put some lipstick on then finish it off with one of these glosses.. I love them.

5. Estee Lauder Pure colour: 86 Tiger Eye, 61 Pink Parfait and 16 Candy- I already treated myself to a Estee Lauder lipstick before Christmas and I was loving it so I was so excited when I saw these beauty's! All three of them are gorgeous colours. My favourite one I wear most is Tiger eye. I just love the shimmer to it but all three of them are so cute!

6. Estee Lauder pure colour eye shadow palette - This is amazing! I love it the colours are so cute. I love mixing them up and trying out new colours. The thing I love most is they are so pigmented so they last all day. I do recommend trying out their eye-shadow colours.

I hope you enjoyed my make-up collection, I would love to here any Estee Lauder products you have tried...

See you soon, Em x

MAC Lipstick Collection 2015
Hey everyone.. I thought I would share with you my MAC Lipstick Collection... so far.. I currently have 21 in my collection which i'm very lucky to have and please don't see this as bragging! Anyhow I hope you enjoy this post.. I've created a few questions and answered them for you (oh and feel free to use them if you want to do a similar post)

Last True Angel Necklace

Happy New Year! So this is our first post since the new year and I hope that 2015 is a good one for you all. Anyhow, today I thought I would do a small post on one of my christmas presents this year.

I got this gorgeous green gem and crystal necklace as one of my christmas gifts from my parents. I normally don't wear necklaces or any jewellery for that matter... however I do love this piece. It's a perfect statement necklace for both the day time or the night time. Now I did find it only and it's not the cheapest necklace.. it costs £34.99 and you buy it here on Aspire style. It has some really cute pieces on all various prices.

Let me know of any statement necklaces I should check out or that you own. And let me know whether you would like to see a post on a few of my christmas presents..

see you soon, han x
